Rev. Andrew Fidurko
I am from the Olean, NY area, born and raised. My wife and I recently moved to pastor the Mallory Wesleyan Church in Hastings, NY.
I was not raised in the church, but I found God and was saved at an event when I was 16 years old. Throughout that time I started attending Hillside Wesleyan Church in Olean, NY, where as a youth I was involved on the Worship Team.
I pursued social work as my first career, receiving a Bachelors in 2003 and Masters in 2007, all the time working in human services and now mental health therapy. I am focused on community coordination of resources, family therapy, marital therapy, and individual mental health therapy.
God has continued to grow me in so many ways throughout the years to my involvement in Intervarsity Christian Fellowship in college, to my leadership of men’s groups and small groups.
Music has always been a central and large part of my life as well. I have participated in musicals and select choirs in high school, Fredonia Chamber singer tours in college, and community theatre and choirs as an adult. Since high school I have been on worship teams as a harmony and lead vocalist, learned bass in college, and was self taught in guitar as an adult filling a need for our worship team at the time.
I had been worship leader and worship director at Hillside Wesleyan Church (2008-2019) and felt a calling to pursue more in ministry, which led to attending FLAME courses. FLAME had gone through its ups and downs, and through FLAME, correspondence, EFM at Houghton, as well as Kingston University FLAME I was able to complete my course work in 2019.
I became officially an Assistant Pastor at Hillside in Fall 2017, a licensed minister in the Western New York District in June 2018. I applied and was accepted as the lead Pastor at Mallory Wesleyan Church in 2019. Though the position is part time, ministry never is part time and with the challenges of 2020 I was blessed and grew through the experiences of leading and helping my new church family to come out the other side. I am grateful to all of them for their trust not only in me, but in God to help all of us through the next step of building the kingdom of God in that area of New York State.
I continue to pray for those that have touched my life, the attenders of my church, and the lost in the Olean and Mallory areas.
I married my wonderful wife Susan in 2011, and we have a young son, Daniel.
My interests are movies (especially sci-fi), games of all sorts, and learning new skills, especially outdoor skills.
I am very excited to announce that I was ordained on Sunday, September 26, 2021!
